Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 June 2026
These terms govern your use of the Charter 77 website and any purchases made through it. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
1. About us
Charter 77 is a strategic design studio trading as Charter 77. You can contact us at c77.design@gmail.com.
2. Digital products
Charter 77 sells digital design assets including templates, toolkits, and resource packs. All products are delivered digitally — no physical goods are shipped.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), who act as our Merchant of Record. Paddle handle all payment processing, invoicing, and applicable tax collection on our behalf. Your contract for the payment transaction is with Paddle. Your contract for the licence to use the product, and all rights and obligations relating to the product itself, is with Charter 77.
3. Delivery
Upon successful payment, your download link will be sent to the email address you provided at checkout. Delivery is handled by Paddle and is typically immediate. If you do not receive your download link within 30 minutes, please check your spam folder or contact us.
4. Refunds and cancellation
By proceeding with checkout, you are asked to expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and to acknowledge that, by doing so, you waive your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This consent is captured separately at the point of purchase and is required before your order can be completed.
Once this consent has been given and your download link issued, we are unable to offer a refund simply because you’ve changed your mind, as the digital content cannot be “returned.”
This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If a product is faulty, materially not as described, or you are unable to access it due to a technical fault on our end, you remain entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate, and nothing in these terms limits that right. Please contact us at c77.design@gmail.com and we will resolve this as quickly as possible.
5. Licence
Unless otherwise stated on the product page, purchasing a digital product grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the product for your own commercial and personal projects.
You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or share the product files — in whole or in part — with any third party. You may not use the files to create competing products or templates for resale.
This licence remains in effect for as long as you comply with these terms. We may terminate your licence immediately if you breach the resale, redistribution, or sublicensing restrictions above; termination does not entitle you to a refund.
Unless the product page states otherwise, this licence is granted to a single individual or business entity for use on its own projects, and does not extend to other companies, freelancers, or contractors working independently of your organisation. Contact us if you require a multi-seat or agency licence.
6. Intellectual property
All digital products sold by Charter 77 remain the intellectual property of Charter 77. Purchase of a product does not transfer ownership of the underlying design or copyright.
7. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to the above, Charter 77’s total liability to you arising out of or in connection with any product or service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, will not exceed the amount you paid for that product or service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunity, arising from your use of our products.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Contact
If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us at c77.design@gmail.com.
